Blue Christmas Service Our annual Blue Christmas Servicewill be on Monday the 20th of December 2021 at 6:00- 7:00 PM in the church.
This unique evening is also known as the Longest Night Service because it is close to the Winter Solstice. It is meant to provide a quiet, contemplative service, not a mass, for those who are feeling sadness and sorrow in grief and loss. It is an alternative to a more traditional gathering that can emphasize happy and joyful celebrating.
We know many of you are struggling with different kinds of loss and may not be feeling very “Christmassy” this year. We can and should support each other in this way, at this time of year, to acknowledge the pain and difficulties that can feel more intense through the holiday season. Good pastoral care is intentional about upholding our parishioners in whatever season of life you may find yourselves in. Our parish is grateful to companion you in your joys and struggles. Please join us as we gather as a community to lean on and become a shelter for one another’s hearts. Feel free to contact Brenda Luna at extension 137 if you have any questions.
