Confirmation Adult Program

Adult Confirmation Registration is currently closed

Registration for our Adult Confirmation Program opens September 1, 2025

Welcome! We’re so happy to have you join our Adult Confirmation program.

We will begin sessions for Adult Confirmation in English and Spanish on November 6th from 7:15pm-8:30pm. These sessions will meet regularly on Thursday evenings from November 6th through May when you will receive your Confirmation from our Bishop.  If you would like to complete your full initiation into the Catholic Church, we’d love to share that with you!  This program is for all adults, 18 and over (if you are 18 and have graduated from high school, this is the program for you).  You will need to bring a copy of your Baptismal certificate and your First Communion certificate to class with you to the first session.  You will also need a sponsor to journey with you.  A sponsor is another Catholic adult who is fully initiated in the Church, attends Mass and can be a mentor to you.  If you don’t have anyone in your life that fits these criteria, we will be happy to partner you with a sponsor from our parish family.

Were you Baptized Catholic as a child, but have not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist?

Tell us more about yourself so we can find the right program for you!

The Catholic Church rejoices every time a person decides to undertake the process to become a Catholic. We welcome you and we are here to help answer all those questions that might result from the call that God is inviting you to follow. In our opinion, becoming a Catholic is one of life’s deepest and most joyful experiences.

A person is said to be “fully initiated” in the Catholic Church when they have received the three sacraments of Christian initiation, which are Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.  This is achieved through a process of preparation.

The usual practice is that a family will bring the baby to the Church for baptism.  From that moment the baby is already Catholic.  The child later enters religious formation and celebrates confirmation and communion where one deepens their faith.

An adult or child of catechetical age who is not baptized enters the Christian Initiation process and through a process of liturgy, catechesis, and formation is prepared to celebrate the three sacraments of Initiation.

There are also others who have been validly baptized in different Christian denominations that are accepted in the Catholic Church by making a profession of faith at a mass to be formally received in the Church.  After this public profession, it is followed immediately by confirmation and the Eucharist.

For adults and children who have reached the age of reason, entry into the Church is achieved by the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults.

The journey goes something like this.  First, you are invited to “inquire” about what this might look like for you.  This is called “The Inquiry Phase” of the process.  Once you have decided that you are ready to move on, you will be moved to the “Faith Formation Phase.”  These two phases will take anywhere from 18 months to 24 months.  Much depends on each person’s readiness to move forward.  Once you have completed the Faith Formation phase, you will receive your sacraments at the next Easter Season, either on Holy Saturday or Pentecost Sunday.  Again, much depends on your personal journey to the Catholic faith.  But, we are here to walk with you each step of the way!

Give us a call or fill out the electronic information card above and someone will get back to you to get you started.  We’re filled with joy for you to join us … soon!
