The Sacraments

  • Baptism

Welcome your new addition to the church family through Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.

  • Eucharist (Communion)

Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith: it is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.

  • Reconciliation

Reconciliation brings about a change of heart through God’s mercy and forgiveness.

The Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance or Confession) has three elements: conversion, confession and celebration. In it we find God's unconditional forgiveness, and as a result we are called to forgive others.

  • Confirmation

Confirmation enables the faithful to be sealed with the Holy Spirit, strengthening them in their Christian life.

Confirmation is a Catholic sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. Like Baptism and Eucharist, it is a Sacrament of Initiation for Catholics and a Sacrament of faith in God's fidelity to us.

  • Marriage

Marriage is a commitment to spend your lives together while assisting each other in getting to heaven.

The Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God's values.

  • Holy Orders and Vocations

    Could God be calling you?

Consider Your Vocation. Consider Priesthood. In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or Ordination, the priest being ordained vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments (especially the Eucharist), by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing other means to holiness.

  • Anointing of the Sick

Anointing of the Sick conveys graces and imparts strength in the Holy Spirit.

The Catholic sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

If your loved one is in need of an anointing, please contact the Parish office. If you are calling after hours, dial the parish number and press #4 to be connected with a priest.

Other Celebrations

  • Quinceañera(o)

The celebration of a Quinceañera is a special time for the young girl and her family. Her parents and friends publicly present her as a gesture of thanks and gratitude for the gift of life.

  • Celebrations of Life / Funerals

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God still, and trust in me.  There are many rooms in my Father’s house; if there were not I should have told you.  I am going now to prepare a place for you, and after I have gone and prepared you a place, I shall return to take you with me; so that where I am you may be too.”
    John 14: 1-3
