BECOME A PART OF THE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL!

The Parish Pastoral Council is the consultative body that fosters the full participation of the entire parish in the life and mission of the Church. Its role is to examine and consider all that relates to pastoral work and outreach and to offer practical conclusions on these matters so that the life and activity of the parish may be in ever-greater conformity with the Parish Mission Statement.

Criteria for Membership:

The membership of the Council shall reflect the diversity of God’s family within the parish, drawing on the gifts of the faithful of various ethnicities, ages, and cultures. Members represent the People of God and may be religious, deacons, or lay persons. In addition, the members shall be:

o Individuals blessed with good listening skills who have demonstrated consistent commitment in serving God and the Church

o Fully-initiated, practicing Catholics

o Active participants in the life of Holy Name of Mary Parish

o Committed to ongoing formation

o Committed to the Church’s understanding of consultation and collaboration

o Committed to a life of prayer

o Committed to the mission and ministries of the parish

We encourage you to discern whether to nominate someone (or yourself) whom you feel would serve well on the pastoral council. Please nominate someone or self-nominate by completing this form.
