About St. Damien's Food Pantry

 
Established June 1st, 2023. We opened our new pantry doors and have continued serving families near and far who are in a food insecurity crisis or who just need a helping hand for a week or two. We have continued serving our homeless brothers and sisters, each and every day, with food and hygiene kits as they know that they are welcomed with open arms and compassionate hearts by our pantry ministers, no matter what. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support and generosity by each and every one of you.  
 

• Some of you faithfully bring your offertory items each week to model for us what it means to remember those who don’t have what we have.  

• Some of you have chosen to support the work of the St. Damien’s Pantry by sharing of your treasure.  

• Some of you pray for our pantry workers and all those who visit us.  

• Some of you are trying hard to remember to bring something each week and even if you forget, your heart is in the right place!

• Some of you share your gifts of time and talent by working in the pantry side by side with our sisters and brothers in need.  

 
For all of these, we give thanks! If you would like to serve in the pantry, we’d be so happy to have you join us.  If you would like to support the pantry financially, please call the office and we’ll get you going either by envelopes or by electronic giving. On average, we serve about 120 families each week with the food that you are giving. Without you, we would not be able to serve our community. So, bless you for anything and everything you in St. Damien’s name!!  
 
We have a new co-leadership team and I ask you to join me in praying for and welcoming, Mary Ann Macias, Nancy Lopez and Bill Guerra. They have committed their hearts to leading our pantry for the next three years.  Thank you, “Team Pantry,” for your loving “YES”!!
